Some others I've seen might never be mean Might never be cross or try to be boss But they wouldn't do For nobody else gave me the thrill With all your faults I love you still
Aww sweetie, I'm so glad you love me regardless of my faults and being cross and bossy. LOL
But anyway, I'm getting off topic here. Because that version of Harry Connick Jr. was our favorite I was very very excited to get his newest CD Your Songs to review.
(Okay, and yeah, he's kinda cute if you notice that kind of thing. Which I don't;)
Here are the songs you get to enjoy on this CD:
Album Tracklisting (Originally performed by):
All The Way (Frank Sinatra)
Just The Way You Are (Billy Joel)
Can’t Help Falling In Love With You (Elvis Presley)
And I Love Her (The Beatles)
(They Long To Be) Close To You (The Carpenters)
Besame Mucho
The Way You Look Tonight
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (Roberta Flack)
Your Song (Elton John)
Some Enchanted Evening
And I Love You So (Don McLean)
Who Can I Turn To? (Tony Bennett)
Smile (Charlie Chaplin)
Mona Lisa (Nat King Cole)
Now I have to be honest, and this will not be the first time you hear this from me....but regardless of who it is or how much I love their music I can very rarely listen to one CD over and over. I have to mix it in with other music or else it all just starts to sound too much the same. And too much of this CD in particular stared to get a little cheesy. So while I moderately enjoyed it when listening to it by itself, I enjoyed it much more once I mixed it with some other music. (Especially with another couple of CD's I got to review that you will hear about very soon!)
So here's the down low. I love his voice, I enjoyed this CD, although if I listen to just this CD I did get a little bored. And I do kinda wish he'd do more original music, but I'm just like that. But if you'd like to try it out yourself go on and buy it! Here's the link:

ReplyDeleteYou may not notice his looks, but I sure do! I love HCJ, but I'm with you on the original music thing; he hasn't done any original stuff in years!
