And that Mom said Boo!

It was cold and dark on that autumn night
screeches filled the air
"Mom it's just not fair!"
Only curdling screams worked to stop that fight.

Playing time is done now the sun's gone down
whining fills the room
oh she feels the gloom
When did all the smiles get replaced by frowns?

May we have a story, Mother dearest please?
Oh, she's on the floor
kicking, screaming more
Suddenly she's still and all the children freeze.

Only one thing left for that Mom to do
how they cower there
peeking through their hair
So she pulls them close and that Mom says Boo!

I swear this story's true!

This poem is in honor of one of my favorite bloggers, Scary Mommy. She is having a contest for the scariest Mommy! Check out her description of what a scary mommy is and you will know (if you read me regularly) that I fit the bill. Nothing gets much more scary than my hiding out in the closet while my entire family is searching the neighborhood for me. After seeing the look on my kids faces when they came back and found me, I will never do that again. Not to mention the look on my true love's face....not a happy moment.

Anyhoo, I have decided that IF I win, and that is a BIG IF (after checking the other posts, I can't imagine how scared she is to try and pick just one!), I will have a contest of my own and give the prize to one of my readers! (I hope this isn't cheating, but I want to share the love!)

Thank you again for the contest Scary Mommy and go HERE to check out all of the other great posts! You will not be bored!
