How safe are you? (A giveaway)

A little while back I was contacted by BufferZone about doing a giveaway. Do you know how exciting it is to have people contacting ME? It's like a whole new world for me! And luckily both I and one of my readers will benefit! (and you all will have access to a coupon code!)

As I've told you before, I am not very tech savvy and have taught myself from searching on the computer everything I do. (as little as it is) One thing I have not done enough research on is internet safety. I've thought about it in general terms but I leave most of that up to hubby. (so cliche') Up until recently my kids were never on the computer (we only have one and it's in the most public place in the house) so I didn't worry too much. But one thing that has worried me is wondering if there are people out there that could hack into my computer through our internet and get into personal files.

This is where BufferZone saves the day! Here is a little more about what their software does: (since they say it better than I could)
Bufferzone complements antivirus software by disconnecting your sensitive files from the internet—which means kids can click on any link, download any file, open any attachment they want—and any viruses or threats never touch your important files (and never mess anything up). It’s kind of like making people take off their shoes before they come in the house; it’s a lot harder to track in mud if you’re not wearing shoes!

Sounds pretty great to me! My 8 year old has been wanting more and more computer time but I don't want any sneaky viruses getting in while he's clicking buttons at random. Luckily I now have BufferZone which prevented 22 privacy threats and 2 system threats THE FIRST DAY! I had no idea! I am so excited to have this extra protection on my computer and they have offered to give one of my readers one free year as well!

If you don't want to wait another minute and want this right now you can buy it HERE!

If you'd like to win it here are the rules:

  2. Oh boy, I know! Once, my daughter was hitting keys on the keyboard totally randomly, and she hit the right combination to flip the entire screen. We couldn't figure out how to fix it for the world. Turns out, it was an easy fix....but until we discovered that, we had to read the computer with our heads tilted at a 90 degree angle. LOL!

  4. Sounds great. I guess I'm doing the ignoring, hoping it isn't there if I don't think about it game. I don't know that my kids have ever messed up my computer. I did have to get it reformatted last year which was a huge pain, but not sure it was the kids who did it. I'm the main user.

    Thanks!

  5. Actually, I have messed up my computer far worse than my children ever could! My husband has had to reload and do whatever to my computer so many times. Thanks for a wonderful giveaway drawing!
