So what is even more exciting for me is the Tulip Festival at one of my favorite places in the world, Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah. I really had no idea what it was until I moved up here and had the chance to go. It is an AMAZING place. From their gardens to their Museum of Ancient Life there is something for everyone to love. You really have to visit to see what I mean. They have these fun kid friendly gardens with amazing things for the kids to do and explore. And then they have the main gardens that are SO. BIG. they will blow your mind. I have no idea how they created such a beautiful place where they did. It doesn't seem that big, but then you get in there and are amazed.
The exciting news for me, and for you, is that they have extended their Tulip Festival a week, so now it goes through Saturday May 7. In fact, on Saturday May 7 they have from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. a Tulip Princess Tea Party hosted by the winners of the April 15 Tulip Princess Pageant. The Tea Party will serve lemonade and cookies to visitors and is included with the gardens entry admission. The event will also feature a mini-fashion show with tulip-inspired outfits and kids games. Doesn't that sound fun?!! (If you do go, RSVP :)
In addition to the colorful blooms, Thanksgiving Point’s Tulip Festival will include music from local bands, bagpipers and string quartets, craft vendors and food every Friday and Saturday including the extended weekend of May 6-7. Other family-fun activities will take place throughout the festival:
- Guest photo contest will be judged by Thanksgiving Point Facebook fans. The winning photo will be published in the Thanksgiving Point Gazette and the winner will receive an annual membership to Thanksgiving Point.
- An exhibit featuring photo contest entries and winners from 2010 will be on display throughout the festival.
- Daily garden tours and demonstrations are included with admission.
I know for sure we are going! What about you?

ReplyDeleteI actually think you are cool for a number of reasons! Though I don't know you as well as I'd like to, I admire your spunk and style, and you are such a kind person! I admire your musical talent as well-I think that too many people don't appreciate music so I always have a soft spot for people who really do!
