Lemmee hear you say "WOOT WOOT!"
(woot, woot)
Come on, that wasn't loud enough.....
I am so so excited about the review and giveaway I get to share with you today. One of the loves of my life is books. Whenever I read a new one I get this little kid excitement and I literally breathe in the smell and excitement of it.
Have you heard of Sterling Publishing? If you are looking for amazing children's books you have to visit their website. I will be sharing reviews of their books with you throughout the year and I have a really exciting giveaway to kick it off!
Every single book I have received from them has been the highest quality, amazing pictures, and all around just beautiful and entertaining and my kids LOVE them!
Something new they are doing that I love, and that you will love, is their Sterling Listen Along site. Your kids want a story before bedtime but you're busy? Pop on over there, give them the book, and press play! My kids ask for it every single night now! (But I still read to them too. When they'll let me ;)
Here is a little video all about it that is so cute and fun!
So....go order some books, and get ready for some fun reading time!?
Oh, but you want to try and win something? Hmm? Doya?
THREE of my readers will win ALL 8 books that you see there on the Sterling Listen-Along website! Can I hear you say WOOT WOOT?!
All you have to do is leave a comment here about what your favorite children's book is and why.
For one extra entry subscribe to my blog, and for one other, follow me on facebook. (both found on the left sidebar.) That's three entries total!
This contest will end Wednesday, March 17, on St. Patty's day!
It would also be great if you watched the video and visited their website as well because I guarantee you'll love them just as much as we do!
As always, happy reading, and good luck to all ye lads and lasses!
I was sent one of the Listen along books to review along with my children for this review. I received no other compensation and all of the opinions shared herewith are mine and mine only. Thanks!
Oh my heavens, I can't tell you how much I LOVE childrens books. Weakness!!! I have many favorites but one that comes to mind is Harvey Potter's Balloon Farm. The illustrations are amazing, and the story is so fun.
ReplyDeleteWOOT! WOOT! Can you hear me now?

Only one favorite? Too hard! I am fond of Where the Wild Things Are, because my son's name is Max. We also love to read Goodnight Moon.
ReplyDeleteI love children books. It is so hard to pick a favorite. But I think my Favorite is Enemy Pie. It just such a good story about how to make a friend and lose an enemy.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is definitely Too Many Frogs. It's such a fun book about a rabbit who loves reading every night and is joined by a frog. While at first he's annoyed by Frog's constant requests for a pillow, some treats, etc, in the end he really misses Frog when he is back to reading by himself. It has great rhythm and is very catchy. My kids love saying the words with me as I'm reading to them, which makes it really fun.
ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite children's book is The Velveteen Rabbit...my daughters is anything by Dr. Seuss!!:-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite chidren's book is The Polar Express. Chris VanAlsburg just has a way of using illustration to bring you into a whole new world filled with the magic of Christmas! I have always treasured this story and it will forever be a favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book is The Giving Tree. I tear up every time I read it and my children love it. I love the message of giving and giving until you've got nothing left.
ReplyDeleteWoot Woot! We are huge book fans over here. Morgan has a big pile of them already, but we always want more. (greedy little us).
ReplyDeleteBecause Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus was already mentioned, I'll go with Loud Emily. It's a really cute story and so much fun to read out loud.
I follow.
ReplyDeleteAnother tweet! Hope it counts towards the entries!

My favorite children's book is actually an entire series: the Berenstein Bears Books. I have such fond memories of those books because they were some of the first "real" books I ever learned to read - I also remember frequently choosing one of those books for my parents to read to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd now that I'm an adult, I still find the books somewhat interesting - I prefer reading aloud Berenstein Bears books to reading aloud Dr. Seuss books. I might be the minority on that one though. ;)
Thanks!
