But I might now have my chance.
I don't even dare hope.
And you get a chance too.
So first, before the review and giveaway, I have to tell you about the Cheerios Spoonful of Stories Children's book Contest.
Cheerios® is searching for the next great children's book author. It could be you! (or me?!)
I am having the hardest time deciding which story to enter. Or if I want to write a new one. I thought about putting them here on my blog and having you guys vote but then Eldon said what if someone steals my stories and enters it first. I know my readers wouldn't do that....
So once I have it down to the next few I might email it to some of you and have you vote that way. Let me know if you are interested!
Anyway, we are all about the books here at my house. We have way more books than food storage so if there is a catastrophe we'll starve but we won't be bored! ;) We were sent a box of stories to review and my kids just love them! I know I've got my work cut out for me to even be in the running after reading these fabulous stories!
And guess what??!! They are going to send a set of these books to one of my lucky readers!! Want to win?
Here's how you win:
(Required for initial entry)
Tell me what your favorite children's book is and/or tell me if you've ever wanted to write children's books and why.
Tell me what your favorite children's book is and/or tell me if you've ever wanted to write children's books and why.

I would love to review your stories for you! My two favorite children's story books are Ferdinand the Bull (my fave from childhood) and The Monster At The End Of This Book (Sesame Street's Grover).
ReplyDeleteYou know I have your button! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a Google follower too!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a future author. :) I would be happy to vote on your stories and I promise not to steal your ideas.
ReplyDeleteONE of my favorite children's books is "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus." I think it's hilarious. The illustrations are simple and funny.
ALSO, I have my idea for a children's book already. I've even written an outline for it. It's about a young tortoise who wants to grow up to be a courier or transport animal and who is mocked for his dreams. But just you wait...
I'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteI love children's lit! I actually collect it! Some of my favorites are Make Way for Ducklings and the Polar Express!

ReplyDeleteI was actually closer to you than even Cove Fort. We were probably only like 40 minutes away if that. I wish we could have gone to you guys. There are a lot of people I wish we could have gone to. We went to Richfield and Fillmore and a few other places I can't remember now but it was awesome!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite children's books is And the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon, oh yeah, and Guess How Much I Love You. I'd review your stories also, but you already knew that. :)

One of my faves is One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Oh, just pick anything by Dr. Seuss. I have had fleeting thoughts about writing a children's book, but then my children interrupt me;)
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't have to put the whole story on here, just a summary and we could vote on the summaries!
Favorite children's book? Wow, tough one. We love Chicka Chicka Boom Boom around here, because it's so catchy.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite children's book is The Pokey Little Puppy. I loved that book as a child and I enjoy reading it to my son. I thought of writing children's stories briefly, but I don't think I'm creative enough.
